Answer: With menopause, the incidence of cardiovascular events increases in women. This is a matter of investigation; and a potential explanation is the change in the hormonal profile that occurs at that moment in life. However, reestablishing this hormonal balance with treatments has not improved the prognosis. For this reason, we must insist on preventive measures (quitting tobacco, walking daily, monitoring tension, cholesterol, glucose and weight…), at all ages of life.
