Thirty minutes of daily physical activity are enough to keep me fit?

Two and a half hours a week for adults and at least one hour a day for children is the recommendation to obtain the benefits that physical activity brings to general health. As a novelty, it is recommended to do stretching exercises of all body muscles at least twice a week.

In Spain, it is estimated that almost 35% of the population is overweight or obese and the percentage of sedentary or inactive adults in their free time reaches up to 40%. Obesity reaches figures of up to 25% in the adult population of the United States.

Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated the enormous benefit that regular exercise brings to health. Among the benefits is the lower risk of sudden death, stroke, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, hypercholesterolemia, colon and breast cancer, and also less obesity.

In addition, performing exercise prevents abdominal obesity, improves cardiorespiratory and cognitive function, improves sleep quality, increases bone mass and, therefore, prevents bone fractures, among many other advantages.
