I walk and run almost daily for 1 hour, is it good practice?

Question: I am 49 years old, I go for a walk and run almost every day for 1 hour (I dedicate half an hour to each activity). Is it a good routine? Ramón (Jacksonville).

Answer: Interval exercise in people who are conditioning exercise is just as effective as continuous exercise in physically fit people. What you walk daily seems very appropriate, as long as you do not feel discomfort or fatigue.
