I am diabetic, hypertensive and have had a heart attack, how much chocolate can I drink?

Question: I am 62 years old, I am diabetic and hypertensive. I suffered an AMI four months ago, I had a drug stent and I took several medications. I really like chocolate, I drink two cups (without sugar) a day. Can I keep taking it? Jorge (New York).

Answer: The daily consumption of a small amount (one ounce depending on the tablets) of dark chocolate, minimum with 70% cocoa, can be part of a heart-healthy diet as long as it is done within a balanced diet, varied and accompanied by regular physical exercise
