How long does a warm-up have to last?

Answer: The warm-up can last from 10 minutes, in the case of a general warm-up, up to 30-40 minutes if it is a competition-specific warm-up. This period should include a progressive mobilization exercise of the main joints (neck, shoulders, back, hip, knees, ankles and feet), activating the main muscle groups, and completing this mobilization period with another muscle stretching period that prepares us for the concrete activity that we are going to carry out.
