After the ablation, if this is successful, do the extrasystoles also disappear?

Question: I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and I have an ablation scheduled. A question has arisen that I could not ask my cardiologist, after the ablation, if this is successful, do the extrasystoles disappear? Roberto (Barcelona).

Answer: After successful ablation, AF crises will disappear. The extrasystoles, having a polytopic origin (multiple: atria, ventricles, etc.), could persist, although their severity would be non-existent and symptomatic antiarrhythmic treatment would be very effective.
